The Dreaded Question!

I wasn't present when the following conversation took place, but I'll do my best to repeat what Ken told me had occured...

Lira: Daddy, what's sex?

Ken: (silent, dumbfounded, trying not to choke)

Ken: Oh, it's the number after 5 but before 7.

Lira: No, daddy! Sex!

Ken: Yes, Lira, sex! 5, sex, 7!

Timmy: Daddy!!

Ken: What, Timmy!?!?!

Lira: No, not the number, daddy! This! (Acting out kissing.)

Ken: (looks baffled)

Lira: Timmy, forget it. Daddy doesn't know.

11/15/06: Ken wanted me to add this..
I was dumb founded and 3 shades of red. But it was very cute. Gee honey, thanx so much for capturing that moment!! ;-)”

How hilarious!!! I guess acting lost worked! Too bad they will realize at some point that he really does know!

That is really funny, especially the "forget it Timmy, Daddy doesn't know". So much disdain, think how much she'll be saying that when she's a teenager. Oh, the joys to come......

Very very funny. It's amazing what kids 'know' ie. the word, and yet, they don't really need the answer. For example the average 3 yr old asking where a baby comes from wants to know - a seed etc. The average child asking what Lira did, doesn't need to know 'what it is', usually happy with something like 'it's what mommy's and daddy's do'. Man amazing how soon they grow up!!!
